Americans for a Safe Israel (AFSI): True to the Temple Mount

Americans for a Safe Israel (AFSI), established in 1970 to advocate for Israeli sovereignty over the historical biblical heartland of Israel, (Judea, Samaria and Gaza), have made it an annual commitment in recent years to include an ascent to the Temple Mount in their itinerary during their stay in Israel. Led by Helen Freedman, executive director of AFSI, each year the group, which includes Jews and non-Jews, are guided on the Mount, in strict accordance with halacha, (Jewish law), by Rabbi Chaim Richman of the Temple Institute. This most recent visit took place on Marcheshvan 23, 5771/October 31, 5771. (Click here to read a press release in which the visit to the Mount is mentioned.)

The above photographs show evidence of the continued degradation of the Holy site by the Moslem Wakf, which works night and day, in deed and in word, to destroy and deny the true nature of the Mount as being the site of the Holy Temple, and to create upon the Mount a Moslem "reality" by expanding the existing mosques while at the same time destroying archaeological evidence of the Holy Temple. Successive Israel governments have yet to take steps to put an end to the desecration.

Americans for a Safe Israel (AFSI), under the leadership of Helen Freedman, works tirelessly to get the message out and to increase awareness among their fellow Americans as to the indivisible nature of the land of Israel, with the Temple Mount in Jerusalem at its center.
