Jerusalem Day 5773/2013 - On The Temple Mount

HUNDREDS OF JEWS ASCENDED IN PURITY to the Temple Mount today to mark Jerusalem Day, on the 46th anniversary of the liberation of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. The police divided the visitors into groups of 30. One such group was guided by the Temple Institute's founder, Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, who was one of the first paratroopers to enter the Temple Mount on that great day, the 28th of Iyar, in the Six Day War. Rabbi Ariel spoke with today's participants about those fateful moments, and gave thanks to the Almighty for the great miracles He has performed for us.

Picture number 10 shows someone holding a copy of the Al Hanissim prayer. This prayer thanks G-d for His salvation and strength and wonders and miracles, deliverance from our enemies and victory in battle. Traditionally read on Purim and the eight days of Chanuka, the prayer being shown here has been adapted especially for the Six Day War and Yom Yerushalayim - Jerusalem Day - a great deliverance and a great victory in battle!
