Muslim States Trying To Halt Temple Mount Digging
reprinted from Arutz 7 (IsraelNN.com) A group of 57 Muslim countries meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia has agreed to step up pressure and try to force Israel to stop archaeological digging near the Temple Mount. The Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) continued to accuse Israel of endangering the Al Aksa mosque on the holy site. "In light of the positive developments in Palestine and formation of the national unity government, the international embargo against Palestinians has no justification," said Ekmel Al Deen Ihsanoglu, Secretary-General of the OIC. He called on the 57-member states to provide financial and moral support to Jerusalem Arabs and the Palestinian Authority (PA). |

reprinted from Arutz 7 (IsraelNN.com) Foreign Ministers from the 11 states of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) are meeting in Jeddah to work out a plan against archaeological work near the Temple Mount. They consider the project a pretext by Israel to destroy the Al Aksa mosque at the holy site. Ministers from Malaysia, Qatar, Senegal, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine and Morocco will attend. OIC secretary general Ekme Al Ehsanoglu will ask the ministers to come up with a collective decision to confront these "criminal and dangerous" practices. |
