King Solomon Builds the First Temple

"And Solomon made all the furnishings for the Temple of the L-rd... when all the work that King Solomon had done for the Temple of the L-rd was completed, Solomon brought forth that which his father David had sanctified, the silver, the gold and the articles - and placed them in the treasuries of the Temple of the L-rd." (Kings I 7:48-51)

Solomon continued his father's work, and engaged multitudes of people quarrying stone and transporting materials for the building project. Cedars were cut from Lebanon; huge and precious stones were delivered.
