Offerings of Cain and Abel

The very first service of G-d performed in this world was on Mt. Moriah in Jerusalem. Adam brought a sacrifice as an act of repentance for his sin in the Garden of Eden. On that same altar, Cain and Abel brought their respective offerings - Cain's rejected, and Abel's accepted.
