The Incense Altar
The Incense Altar, also called the Golden Altar, was one of the three vessels located in the Kodesh. The incense was burned twice each day on top of the Incense Altar, The altar symbolized the "golden mean" -
the moderate path with regard to attributes and behavior. The altar is seen as representing the balanced combination of spiritual
and material abundance. Surrounding the altar was a golden wreath - representing the crown of the priesthood. |
