The Kodesh: Dimensions (continued)

The height of the interior of the Kodesh was forty cubits, and the height of the attic was forty cubits, with one cubit on top for the metal piling which served to deter birds from settling on the roof of the Mikdash. * The remaining height was taken up by the width of the support beams, the ceilings, and their decorations.
