The Area between the Ulam and the Mizbeach: The Laver (continued)

The copper used for the construction of the laver in the Mishkan was donated by the Jewish women who had exited Egypt. They contributed their shiny copper mirrors. The women had used these mirrors for a holy purpose during the years of bondage; to enhance their beauty, thereby strengthening their marital bond and fortifying
and enlarging the nation. The laver was made from these mirrors.
