In the floor of the Court, near the southwest corner of the mizbeach, was an opening of one square cubit that lead to the drainage duct. * Periodically, this duct needed to be cleared from the coagulated holy wine, This opening was covered by a marble tablet which had a ring embedded in it, enabling it to be lifted out.
