The difference in height between the Court of Israel and the WomenÕs Court - about seven and one half cubits * - created a cavity below the floor of the Court of Israel. This chamber was constructed within this cavity. On both sides of the fifteen steps in the WomenÕs Court there were doorways through which one could enter this chamber.  Holiness
