The Temple Institute: Temple Talk: Av 11, 5765/August 16, 2005

Tu b'Av, (the 15th of Av), called by our sages the happiest day of the year. What happened on Tu B'Av that made it the antithesis of Tish'a B'Av, the saddest day of the year? The 15th of Av is a day spiritually rooted in a place that draws on G-d's great love for his people Israel, and its phenomonal power was first made manifest ever before the beginning of time. Learn how G-d fearing Jews of Israel, united in their opposition to the horrible crime of expulsion taking place these very days, seem to be drawing their strength from that very same source of the 15th of Av.
