The Temple Institute: Temple Talk: Elul 29, 5771/September 28, 2011

"G-d goes up with the trumpet blast; HaShem, with the sound of the shofar."
(Psalms 47:6)
Erev Rosh HaShana 5772

ROSH HASHANA, marking the new year, the completion of creation and the birth of all mankind is upon us! On the two days of Rosh HaShana we stand before G-d and acknowledge with our complete hearts that He is our One and Sovereign King. We prepare ourselves for this day with the appropriate humility and trepidation, but also with the insider's knowledge that G-d is not only our King but also our loving Father and that it is His will that we will make the right choices and follow the correct paths in our lives that will bring us ever closer to Him. In truth, G-d awaits us with open arms. It is up to us to take the proper steps.

WE AT THE TEMPLE INSTITUTE wish for all of our friends and followers and supporters, and for the entire people of Israel and for all who seek the true G-d of Israel, a Shana Tova uMetuka - a Good and Sweet New Year! Gmar Chatima Tova - May We All be Inscribed (inscribe ourselves) in the Book of Life!

Tell Me, Is My Name in Your Book? Tune in to this week's last edition of TEMPLE TALK for the outgoing year of 5771, as Rabbi Chaim Richman and Yitzchak Reuven discuss the coming Day of Judgment and the awesome challenge it presents to each and every one of us to stay focused on our priorities and recognize Hashem's presence in our lives. Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman ponder the dilemma of how to know whether our names have been written into the Book of Life... and give some practical advice to help us make sure we have done our utmost to prepare for the coming year.
