reprinted from Arutz Sheva

(IsraelNN.com) The Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, paid a visit to the Temple Mount on Monday, accompanied by a member of the PA legislative council, Ahmed Hashem Zarir, the manager of the Moslem Waqf, and the head Imam of the Al Aksa mosque.

Erdogan met yesterday with Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, President Moshe Katzav, and other Israeli officials, in a bid to mend relations that have cooled somewhat over the past year.

Erdogan is the head of Turkey's Islamic party.
