Religious Women Ascend to Temple Mount

reprinted from Arutz 7
8/3/2011, Av 3, 5771

Tzippora Filtz from the Women’s Forum for Ascending to the Temple Mount in Purity spoke with Arutz 7 about Wednesday’s fourth women's ascent. "We encourage women from all circles to ascend. We instruct them where they may walk, and require immersion in a ritual bath prior to the ascent.

"We all look forward to the rebuilding of the Temple, but actual steps need to be taken beyond words. The ascent is a highly spiritual and inspirational event. The WAKF who always prevent Jews from praying on the Temple Mount ignored the prayer service of some of the women. Ascending to the Temple Mount in ritual purity is allowed, as long as you don’t stand where the Temple or its courtyard were. It’s wonderful to worship G-d in the actual dwelling place of His Presence," said Tzippora Filtz.
