MKs Request Permission to Visit Temple Mount on Sunday

reprinted from Arutz Sheva

(IsraelNN.com) A number of members of Knesset affiliated with right-wing parties have requested permission from Public Security Minister Gideon Ezra to visit the Temple Mount on Sunday.

MK Uri Ariel of the National Union Party rejects the current arrangement by which Muslims are permitted on the Mount but Jews are barred, a reality which he believes compromises Israel's sovereignty over the site.

Despite enjoying parliamentary immunity, Ariel stated if prohibited by police, he would not attempt to visit the Temple Mount on Sunday.
