Jews Barred from Temple Mount as Ramadan Ends

reposted from Arutz 7
Av 25, 5772 / August 13, 2012

Police are planning to bar Jews from ascending to the Temple Mount beginning Friday, and continuing for five straight days. The temporary ban is aimed at preventing friction as Muslims celebrate the last days of Ramadan.

Temple Mount organizations expressed concern. "Beyond the fact of being cut off from the Mount and the halt to Jewish prayer at the site in itself, there is also the bewilderment, again, over the police’s approach of ignoring the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount," activists said.
