Model of Ancient Temple goes on Display at International Tourism Fair

Also on display were items and garments created by the Temple Institute, including a biblical-style harp.

A scale model of a rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem was among the displays that greeted visitors to the 20th annual International Mediterranean Tourism Market at the Tel Aviv convention center this week, according to Arutz Sheva.

The model was on display at the booth of the Temple Institute, an organization dedicated to the rebuilding of the Jewish Temple, the second of which was destroyed by the Romans in 70 C.E.

Also on display at the booth were items and garments created by the institute, including a biblical-style harp and priestly vestments. Photos of the giant golden menorah, which stands outside the Temple Institute's main visitor center in the Old City of Jerusalem, were also displayed.

"This is not political, it's something for all people of Israel," said David Shwartz, a representative of the institute. He added that, as the Prophet Isaiah stated, the Holy Temple "shall be a house of prayer for all nations."

Shwartz said he hoped that the structure would on day attract people from around the world just like the other tourist destinations displayed at the fair.
