MK Feiglin Doubts "Security Risk" Closed Temple Mount

reposted from Arutz 7
Tishrei 20, 5774, 24/09/13

Deputy Knesset Speaker and Member of Knesset Moshe Feiglin (Likud - Yisrael Beiteinu) condemned the closing of the Temple Mount to all non-Muslim visitors on Tuesday. He expressed doubt as to the official police reason given that the ascent to the site would be a security risk. MK Feiglin postulated that the move was a concession to Arab interests and called the security risk assessment an excuse. He added that restricting access to the holy site was contrary to the Basic Law. On Tuesday morning hundreds of visitors including a Member of Knesset and a group of schoolchildren were denied access to the Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site.
