Ezra: 'Police Won't Let Thousands of Jews Ascend Temple Mount at One Time'

reprinted from Arutz Sheva
12:14 Mar 27, '05 / 16 Adar 5765

(IsraelNN.com) Public Security Minister Gideon Ezra said the police will stop a large number of Jews from ascending the Temple Mount on April 10, as they requested. Speaking to Israel Radio, he said police have received requests by thousands of Jews who would like to visit the mount on that day. He conjectured that the Jews are those who are against the disengagement plan, but admitted the police cannot pinpoint exactly who they are or what their purpose is.

"If you ask me, they are those who would like to prevent the disengagement. They are from all parts of the country," he said. "But it is not good that there will be a clash [on the mount between Arabs and Jews], so we will not let such a group go onto the mount at the same time."
