Islamic Movement's Al Aqsa Re-Opens with New Name

reprinted from Arutz 7
28 Av 5768, 29 August 08 08:09

(IsraelNN.com) The Al Aqsa branch of the Islamic Movement, which police raided in the Galilee city of Umm al Faham five days ago on suspicion of incitement, has re-opened under a new name. It now will be called the "Al Aqsa Institution for the Wakf and Its Heritage."

Its official function is to renovate Muslim holy cites, in particular the Al Aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount. The Islamic Movement said the change is meant to deliver a message to Israeli authorities that it will not "buckle under" the use of force by Defense Minister Ehud Barak, who gave the order to close the Al Aqsa offices.
