'Temple Festival' in Kfar Tapuach

reprinted from Arutz 7
Jul/31/09

A "Temple Festival" is scheduled for the Samarian Jewish community of Kfar Tapuach, starting at 10 pm on Saturday. Taking part will be Rabbi Yosef Elboim, head of one of the movements working toward the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem. Also speaking will be Member of Knesset Michael Ben-Ari and Chairman Gershon Mesika of the Samaria Regional Council. Performing will be musicians Aharon Razel, Dov Shurin and Sinai Tur, among others.

The theme of the gathering is "Faith in G-d, not in Obama," referring to United States pressure on Israel to freeze construction in Judea and Samaria. Following morning prayers at sunrise, a convoy will set out for the Temple Mount in Jerusalem via the new outpost communities that were set up at the beginning of this week.

Festival organizer Yekutiel ben Yaakov told Arutz 7, "We are not just coming for an outstanding evening of music. We hope our message will be heard in Washington and the whole world: Israel is not for sale. We have returned to the Samarian hills forever. We will shout to the heavens that we believe in G-d and not in Obama; yes to the hills [of Samaria] and the Temple Mount - no to Capitol Hill in Washington."
